Refunds and cancellation.

What this policy covers

This policy covers stars sold singly or in larger packages on hamzzi.com (including the previous address lodestarastro.com and the magazine blog.lodestarastro.com). One star is $1 and opens one of the 11 readings. Each purchase is charged once, and extra stars in a larger package are part of that charge. There is no website subscription, so there is nothing recurring to cancel.

• 3 stars: $3 for 3 readings
• 6 + 1 stars: $6 for 7 readings
• 9 + 2 stars: $9 for 11 readings
• 15 + 5 stars: $15 for 20 readings

A paid detailed compatibility reading linked to a friend can become unavailable if either member edits, switches or deletes the profile shared on the map, that friend withdraws their separate permission, the connection is removed, or either account is deleted. Editing or switching the shared profile turns detailed permission off until the member opts in again. The spent star is not automatically restored. Contact us if you seek a refund or other remedy; the seven-day refund rule and mandatory consumer rights still apply.

Who charges you

Lodestar is the seller and your purchase contract is with us. Dodo Payments Inc. provides the checkout and is the merchant of record for the payment, so the charge appears on your statement as a charge from Dodo Payments rather than Lodestar, which is the same charge, not a separate one. A purchase made before English and Japanese checkout moved to Dodo Payments was charged by Whop Inc. and appears as WHOP* LODESTARASTRO.

Dodo Payments takes the payment on its own checkout and sends the receipt to the email address you enter there. Every displayed price includes tax (the $1 single star and every larger package alike), so nothing is added at checkout. A refund returns any tax charged with the refunded amount. Refund requests come to us, and we issue the refund through Dodo Payments, or through Whop for a purchase Whop charged before the switch; it is returned to the method you paid with. This website does not receive or store card numbers, so a refund cannot be issued to a different card or account.

Refunds within 7 days

You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of your purchase, for any reason. You do not have to explain why, and we do not apply a “no refunds on digital content” rule.

This 7-day refund is offered on top of your legal rights, not instead of them. Where Korean e-commerce law applies, you may withdraw from the purchase within 7 days of receiving the contract document, or from when supply begins if that is later; the statutory restriction for digital content whose supply has started applies only when the legal conditions are met, and we do not rely on it inside the 7 days.

If you have already used some stars

Withdrawing from a package you have partly used does not cost you the refund. The stars you have not spent are returned in full, and only the ones you spent are deducted, at the single-star price of the package you bought. Those readings stay on your account and keep opening while access remains available under the friend-compatibility conditions above. Nothing you used is charged twice, and nothing unused is kept back.

For a larger package, unused stars leave your account as soon as Dodo Payments (or Whop, for a purchase Whop charged) reports a partial refund; the rest stays. If part of a single-star payment is refunded, we record it for review and keep that star available until the whole purchase is refunded. A full refund removes every star from that purchase, and readings made with them stop opening.

If a reading is not as described

If what you received differs from its description or from the contract, the statutory withdrawal period is 3 months after supply and 30 days after you knew or could have known of the problem. Readings are symbolic reflection prompts and are described that way throughout the site: a reading that did not predict an event is not a defect, but a reading that does not match what the product page said is.

Purchases by a minor

A purchase made by a minor without the consent required by law may be cancelled by the minor or their legal guardian, as permitted by applicable law. Write to support@duckgustudio.com and we will handle it as a cancellation rather than a discretionary refund.

Duplicate or failed charges

If you were charged twice, charged for a reading you cannot open, or the purchase did not unlock on the account that paid, contact support and we will investigate and correct it. This applies regardless of the withdrawal period; a charge for something you did not receive is not a change of mind.

How to request a refund

Email support@duckgustudio.com with the order reference shown on /purchase/ after you paid (or, if you do not have it, the details on the receipt Dodo Payments emailed you or on your Whop receipt, for a purchase Whop charged before the switch), what you bought, and what happened. Refund requests come to us, and we issue the refund through the processor that charged you. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

Where Korean e-commerce law applies, a refund is made within 3 business days of the withdrawal being accepted. The payment is returned to your original method through Dodo Payments, or through Whop for a purchase Whop charged; how quickly it appears on your statement is set by that processor and your card issuer, not by Lodestar.

After a refund

For a larger package, a partial refund removes its unused stars when Dodo Payments (or Whop, for a purchase Whop charged) reports it; stars already spent and their readings stay. If only part of a single-star payment is refunded, we record it for review and leave that star available until a full refund. A full refund takes back every star from that purchase, and any reading made with one stops opening. Stars from other purchases and their readings are untouched. Your birth details and notes saved in earlier versions are not deleted by a refund; you can clear them in Profile.

A full refund also cancels the stardust from readings opened with that purchase, and a refunded first reading no longer counts for the friend who invited you. A star already made from stardust is not taken back; the cancelled grains are made up first by later grains, as set out in the Terms.

Your rights are not reduced by this page

Refund amounts, timing and any remedy for an interruption follow applicable law and the purchase terms. Nothing on this page removes a mandatory consumer protection available where you live, and nothing here affects any obligation Duckgu Studio has under consumer law.
