This site automatically measures visits and selected service and advertising events through Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, X, Meta and TikTok, subject to browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals and any previously saved provider refusal. Age and accounts

Lodestar is available from age 14. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with permission from a parent or legal guardian, and the site asks you to confirm that permission. Under 14 is not permitted, because no child account or verified parental-consent programme is offered.

Reading the site does not require an account. Signing in uses Firebase Authentication with the provider you choose; Kakao and Naver are offered to visitors connecting from Korea, and Instagram Login supports professional accounts. Purchases and AI conversations require a signed-in account. You are responsible for activity under your sign-in, and you can report suspected unauthorised use to support@duckgustudio.com.

What the readings are

Readings on this service are content for entertainment and self-reflection. They are generated automatically by AI, they guarantee no prediction, and they are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Lodestar uses astrological symbols for reflection and entertainment. When a signed-in member requests today’s fortune, Google Vertex AI writes it from the selected profile’s symbols and local date, and the result is saved to that profile. It is not a forecast calculated from live planetary positions. Chart calculations use approximate positions. Natal readings can include aspects. Rising signs and whole-sign houses use the birth time and calculation location; Vedic and wealth readings use a disclosed reference city when the birth place is absent. Saju without a birth time uses the year, month and day pillars, without an hour pillar. Vedic and wealth readings without a birth time omit the rising sign and houses and use reference-time planetary positions.

Readings do not predict events and are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice. Features may be changed, suspended or discontinued as the site develops; where a material change affects something you have paid for, we give reasonable notice unless urgent security or legal action is required.

Hamzzi raising

This section applies from 2026-09-30.

The Hamzzi tab is offered in Korean when this feature is enabled. Raising, feeding and decorating do not require a separate payment. Experience, stages, room items and outfits have no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, exchanged, gifted, or converted into reading credits or cash. Eligible paid readings can award experience and items; buying credits alone does not award anything. Daily-fortune rewards are off at launch and apply only if separately enabled.

Activities determine the items and outfits; there is no random draw to obtain them. Missing a day does not reduce experience. Items and features may change or end with advance notice; material changes are announced before taking effect. Optional web reminders require their own consent.

Daily fortune display in the iOS app

This section applies from 2026-09-29 to iOS versions with required daily-fortune display consent.

To generate or open today’s fortune in the iOS app, you must first read and explicitly agree to the device-display notice. Once agreed, opening the saved result updates the Home Screen widget and automatically starts or updates a Live Activity where supported and allowed by iOS. You do not need a separate button below the result. The Home Screen widget can show the title and summary, and the expanded Dynamic Island can show the title to anyone looking at your screen. The compact Island and Lock Screen use a general prompt without personal fortune text. The widget stops showing the text after the local date changes; the activity’s personal title stops at local midnight or eight hours after it starts, whichever comes first.

Agreement is required only for this iOS daily-fortune feature. You may decline and continue using other readings or the web service. Turning the preview off in App settings withdraws agreement and clears its local display; you will be asked again before using the feature. This agreement does not include advertising, location or notification permissions, add a widget to your Home Screen, or change iOS permissions. Opening a saved result does not create a new fortune or make a purchase in the background. The Privacy Policy explains the local data, retention and deletion.

AI-generated readings and conversations

From 2026-10-01, a signed-in member can also request short AI lines by touching Hamzzi in its room. This uses Google Vertex AI, with the inputs and temporary storage described in the Privacy Policy. There is no free-text conversation in this feature. Opening the room does not request AI lines; to avoid this processing, do not touch Hamzzi. It gives no experience, fortune or reward, shares the existing AI request limits, and uses prepared lines when generation is unavailable.

Google Vertex AI is an essential service provider for the AI-written readings and AI conversations offered on this website. When you ask Lodestar to create a reading or send a chat message, you instruct us to send the information needed for that request, as described in the Privacy Policy, to Lodestar’s server and Google Vertex AI for processing. There is no separate Vertex AI switch. If you do not want this processing, do not ask us to create an AI-written reading or send an AI message; ordinary pages remain available.

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable, and Lodestar is not an emergency or crisis service. Safety checks may interrupt an ordinary reply to show support options; that safeguard does not replace a trusted adult, a qualified professional or an emergency service. Please do not submit another person’s confidential information without authority.

Prices and payment

Readings on this website are paid for with stars. One star is $1 and creates any one of the 11 readings for the details you give. It is saved to your account and can be reopened at no extra charge. A new reading for different details, another person, or the same chart with a new written interpretation uses another star. You can buy one star or a larger package; extra stars in a larger package are part of the same single purchase:

For a detailed compatibility reading connected to a friend, that friend must separately allow use of their selected birth profile. If either member edits, switches or deletes the profile shared on the map, that friend withdraws permission, the connection is removed, or either account is deleted, the linked result and recovery copy are deleted and can no longer be reopened. Editing or switching the shared profile also turns detailed permission off until the member opts in again. A star already spent is not automatically restored. Your refund rights under the refund policy and applicable law still apply.

If a birth profile describes someone other than you, create a shareable friend map from it only if that person has authorized its alias, Sun sign and lit-planet count to be visible to anyone with the link. Enable detailed-reading use for a friend only if you also have that person’s authority to use the profile’s birth details for that purpose.

Your account has one server wallet: the website and current iOS and Android clients show the same star balance, and use on either reduces that balance. Eligible unused stars from your own purchases can be sent through the gift-link feature. Creating a link reserves those stars; the recipient signs in to accept. An unaccepted link lasts at most seven days and ends sooner at the earliest original expiry of the reserved credits. Cancellation or expiry returns the reserved stars to the sender with their original validity unchanged; already expired credits do not become usable again. App Store stars keep their no-expiry rule. Received gifts cannot be gifted again, sold, exchanged for cash or used outside Lodestar. Only the original purchaser may request a purchase refund through the applicable payment channel; receiving a gift does not create a cash-redemption right. Applicable consumer refund rights remain in effect.

A star bought here has no expiry date and is not tied to a particular paid reading until you spend it. There is no website subscription or recurring charge: each purchase is charged once, and nothing renews.

App Store stars purchased in the current iOS client are credited to the same service account after server verification and have no expiry date. They can be spent on supported paid readings through that account on the web or in the iOS client. This does not alter the validity of existing web-purchased credits or migrate earlier app subscriptions. Account deletion and refund reversals still affect access and available credits.

Google Play purchases in the Android client are also single purchases, not subscriptions. After server verification, their stars are added to the same service account without an expiry date and can be used for supported readings on the web, iOS or Android. Pending or unverified purchases do not receive credits. Refunds follow Google Play’s applicable process; a verified full refund removes that purchase’s credits, including gifted credits, and affected reading access. Contact support@duckgustudio.com if a completed purchase is not credited to the account that paid.

Lodestar is the seller of these readings and your purchase contract is with us. Dodo Payments Inc. provides the checkout and is the merchant of record for the payment, so the charge appears on your statement as a charge from Dodo Payments rather than Lodestar. That is the same charge, not a separate one. Dodo Payments sends the receipt to the email address you enter at its checkout. A purchase made before English and Japanese checkout moved to Dodo Payments was charged by Whop Inc. and appears as WHOP* LODESTARASTRO. This website never receives or stores card numbers.

Every displayed price includes tax (the $1 single star and every larger package alike), so nothing is added at checkout. The amount, currency and total shown on Dodo Payments’ checkout govern the transaction, and they are shown before you pay. Signing in comes before paying, because pressing buy opens an order here first and the stars are added to that order: they reach the Lodestar account you bought them from, not the address you paid with, which may well be a different one. Dodo Payments reports the completed payment to this server, the server matches it to your order, and the stars appear where you left off. If a payment does not reach your account, your order reference is on /purchase/. Send it to support and we will add the stars rather than asking you to buy them again.

Refunds and withdrawal

Your withdrawal and refund rights, how to exercise them, and what happens to your access afterwards are set out in the refund policy. No blanket “no refunds” rule applies, and nothing in these terms removes a mandatory consumer protection.

Your content and acceptable use

You keep your rights in what you write. You grant Duckgu Studio and its processors only the limited rights needed to transmit, process, store and display it in order to operate Lodestar.

Do not use Lodestar unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, or submit content you have no right to process.
Do not attempt unauthorised access, evade access controls, reverse engineer protected components, automate abusive traffic, or interfere with operation.
Do not use generated output to harm, deceive, discriminate against, or make high-impact decisions about another person.

Intellectual property and suspension

Lodestar’s software, visual design, text and branding, excluding content you submit, belong to Duckgu Studio or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use them. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, material breach, abuse or user protection.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an available basis and may contain defects or interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Duckgu Studio does not promise uninterrupted service or the accuracy of AI-generated results. We do not exclude liability where doing so is prohibited, including liability arising from intent, gross negligence, or mandatory consumer protection.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by a court having jurisdiction under applicable procedural law. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or local forum rights available where they live. English is the drafting baseline; the Japanese translation is intended to carry the same meaning and does not override mandatory local-language or consumer protections.
